Canada is on a Spree to Onboard Skilled Migrants by the end of 2021!
Canada is on a spree to issue PRs to the migrants already residing in Canada under the provisions of Provincial Nominee Program and Canadian Experience Class Program. In this blog you will see the Immigration trends to Canada from January 2021 to September 2021.
The Statistics presented here are not only fascinating but also are prescient and could pave a wonderful way for you to become a Permanent Resident of Canada sooner than you ever imagined.
Here are some alluring statistics from the Express Entry Draws that took place between January 2021 and September 2021:
- A massive 1, 06,414 PR invitations have been issued so far and is the highest ever till date in the Canadian Immigration history (from this a total of 97,653 invites have been issued under the CEC category alone until now).
- The Canadian Experience Category had 17 draws so far and the total invites issued out were a stunning 27,332 on 13th February, 2021 alone. The lowest CRS score for a PR invitation on the same day was 75 points, and first time in the immigration history of Canada.
- The least number of CEC invites issued on 20th May 2021 were 1,842. CRS has been in the range of 357 and 461 during this year, and it means that the trend might continue until the end of this year and the coming years.
- Almost 95% of the people invited are already residing in Canada and IRCC has not conducted any draws for FSWP & FSTP categories this year until September 2021.
- The lowest CRS Score for a PNP Invite was 682 (17th March 2021) and the highest score was 813 (6th January 2021). So, you see a relaxation there. The score has been decreasing in the consequent draws and ranged between 682 and 813.
- Provincial Nominee Program saw a total and whopping 8,761 invitations so far.
Canada has set a goal of 441,000 immigrants, and it seems to be working on it quite objectively. So, the coming months, too, seem to be quite promising for skilled professionals. Canada is waiting to welcome many more immigrants to meet its target. The focus seems to be on the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) because 95% of the CEC population is already in Canada. This gives them an edge over people not residing in Canada currently.
Exceptional scores were important earlier to get PR. But now, owing to the Pandemic, Canada is benevolently offering PRs to skilled migrants who are currently residing in Canada owing to the Pandemic. Alberta, B.C., Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, and Saskatchewan have all issued nominations to Express Entry candidates in the first quarter of this year.
According to IRCC, the future could also see expedited acceptance of PR applications of Federal Skilled Workers so that they can land in Canada by the end of the year (assuming improvement in the pandemic situation).
Canada invites skilled professionals to Canada through Express Entry via three skilled migrtion programs that deem a skilled professional eligible to migrate to Canada:
- Federal Skilled Trades (FSWP)
- Provincial Nominee Program and
- Canadian Experience Class
Each of these programs has its unique statutory laws, and you need to stand eligible. Once your eligibility in these programs is validated, you will be invited through the express entry nomination.
