Indefinite leave to remain (ILR) can be achieved after 5 years in the Representative of Overseas business visa category.

Investor visa (Tier 1)

The Tier 1 Investor visa category is for high net worth individuals who are willing and able to make a substantial financial investment in the UK. UK Investor visa holders are permitted to work, study and engage in business activities. They can also be accompanied or joined by their dependants. The Tier 1 Investor visa typically leads to settlement in the UK after a period of 5 years. Accelerated settlement is available to Tier 1 Investor visa holders who invest more in the UK.

Graduate Entrepreneur visa (Tier 1)

The Entrepreneur visa category (Tier 1) is for foreign national business people who want to come to the UK to start a new business or join and invest funds into an existing business. Under the Entrepreneur category, the Entrepreneur visa applicant's immediate family is also allowed under family Migration.

Exceptional Talent visa (Tier 1)

This category allows a limited number of people who are considered to be leaders or emerging leaders in a small number of fields to enter the UK. You will need to come under Tier 1 Exceptional Talent Visa or Tier 1 Exceptional Promise criteria. A big benefit of this category is you can work freely for almost any employer or run your own business or be self-employed.

Start-up visa

The UK Start-up visa is for individuals who are new entrepreneurs and want to establish a business in the UK for the first time. Start-up visas are one-off visas, valid for 2 years and the category does not lead directly to settlement in the UK.

Innovator visa

The Innovator visa category is for individuals who are experienced business persons seeking to establish a business in the UK. In most cases you will need to have access to at least £50,000 to invest in your business.

Standard visitor visa for businesspeople

This visa entitles holders to visit the UK for up to a maximum of six months allowing them to undertake their business activities and they may also be allowed multiple entries during the six month period. Visa holders can attend business meetings, conferences and briefings, engage in fact finding, negotiating or making contracts within the UK for their business to buy or sell goods or services.
