ACHIEVEMENT-BASED POINTS TEST

The Scheme also caters for the inclusion of people of exceptional skill or abilities who have remarkable achievements. In a separate Achievement-based Points Test, they can choose to be evaluated. Under this exam, the demand is very high.

Requirements for achievement-based point test are very high. 225 points will be awarded to those who are deemed to have met one of the requirements set out in this test referred to in the following paragraph; otherwise no points will be awarded. Applications that fail to score points under this evaluation would automatically be denied.

Under this test, points can be awarded if:

An outstanding achievement has been awarded to the claimant (e.g. Olympic medals, Nobel Prize, national/international awards); or,
The applicant should demonstrate that his/her work has been recognized or substantially contributed to the advancement of his/her field (e.g. lifetime achievement award from industry) by his/her peers.
